Prevention Fellow Beatty receives AHA award recognizing top young investigators


Center for Prevention Fellow Alexis Beatty, MD was awarded the 2012 Elizabeth Barrett-Connor Research Award for Young Investigators by the American Heart Association Council on Epidemiology and Prevention.
The award recognizes excellence in research by early career investigators and trainees and encourages continued biomedical research careers broadly related to cardiovascular function and diseases, including basic science, integrated physiology and clinical problems.

 

The award acknowledged her academic work to date including her recent study entitled "High-Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin T and Secondary Events in Outpatients with Coronary Heart Disease: Data from the Heart and Soul Study."
