Ethan Weiss, MD
Dr. Ethan Weiss is a Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology and specializes in acute-care cardiology, coronary artery disease and general cardiology. His special interests include preventive cardiology, genetics of coronary disease and coronary disease in the young. In his research, he uses genetic models to better understand the mechanism of blood clotting as it relates to coronary disease.

Dr. Weiss earned a medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency on the Osler Medical Service of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He came to the University of California, San Francisco in 1998 as a cardiology fellow and is currently an assistant professor of medicine.
